Lavender Dell Cottage is a charming studio cottage located on a 13-acre farm in the heart of the Kaipara Harbour, Northland, New Zealand. The self-contained cottage has a private garden and sweeping views over the picturesque Kaipara Harbour and countryside. Located only 10 mins drive from the famous Matakohe Kauri Museum and 2 hours north of Auckland, Lavender Dell Cottage is an ideal country retreat for travellers to Northland.

Lavender Dell's spacious studio cottage is designed for privacy and serenity. There is a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, dining table, sofa, TV and garden. Continental breakfast is available as an optional extra. Your welcoming hosts, Trish & Jim, live on the property and are happy to help you with travel advice and information about the local area.

Explore our farm at your leisure. We overlook the Hukatere Reserve, with its large native kauri trees. Our Highland cattle, miniature horses, alpacas, dogs, pet sheep and Arucana and Silkie chickens will provide plenty of entertainment for children and adults alike. 10 minutes further down the road is Tinopai Beach. We are 20 minutes from Matarua 9-hole golf course and 1.5 hours south of Waipoua Forest (home of Tane Mahuta - New Zealand'™s oldest Kauri Tree). Lavender Dell offers a pleasant alternative to accommodation in Dargaville on your way up/down the West Coast of Northland.
